A coastal walk is an unforgettable way to admire the beauty of the area and offers 4km's of magnificent rock pools to explore, teaming with a host of wonderful sea creatures to admire.
From May to November it is also a great vantage point to view the whales during their annual migration. There is also a tidal pool situated along this stretch, offering a shallow sandy and safe area for young children to play in the ocean.
The warm Indian Ocean meets the shoreline at the Blue Flag beach, which offers a flat safe swimming beach. This section of beach stretches westward to the estuary and is great for taking a stroll to pick up shells, or to witness the spectacular sunsets over the Breede River. There are also many surrounding dunes that offer a wonderful place for kids to frolic and play.
